I’m not sure if it’s the end of winter, but I have hit a bit of the blahs. It started during my busy Christmas season. When I hit the new year, I was so tired that I didn’t care if I saw my camera again for a long time. The slow winter months have been a nice break, but now I am itching to photograph something creative and inspiring - something that gets me excited about my art. I have promised myself to shoot just for me at least once a month this year. My only challenge is what. I love my children, but honestly shooting with them is not a relaxing experience where I can play and do what I want. That’s why I need your help! I’m looking for suggestions of locations and willing models for my inspiration sessions. Models will recieve a free session, but will be at the mercy of my creativity. They will also receive 10 digital images from the session for free.

I guess this boils down to a question, “Who or what inspires you?” Is there a person in your life? A place? Please share what inspires you - I’m looking for some inspiration.

I had so much fun with this little guy tonight. He had just woke up when he got here and was not too sure about me, but it wasn’t long before he was all smiles. We captured so many good expressions from this little one that I had a hard time narrowing down the sneak peek!

This little one’s middle name is Rose. I think that is so appropriate for her because she LOVED my flowers today! I thought I would try to give her a different toy to play with and she only had eyes for the flowers. She was such a sweet baby and full of smiles and stories for me.

I think it may be a sickness. The feeling of exciting that comes over me as I watch images come off the card and show up on my computer screen. I get almost giddy, especially after a session like this one. Two beautiful children with amazing eyes! It has been awhile since I have seen Miss M. and I could not believe how much she has grown. She was talking up a storm and definately had her own opinions about what she wanted to do. Her little brother was the perfect little model and I would have kept him here if his parents would have agreed!

This little girl is one of my favorite ages to photograph. Between 6 months and crawling is perfect! They are so attentive, lots of chub and they stay where you put them! This little one was an absolute doll baby and we got some amazing pictures!

That is this one’s nickname and she was such a cutie! At one month old, she didn’t sleep as much as my newborns usually do, but we made it work. I am in love with the pictures of her with mom and dad! I just love the look of absolute adoration on mom and dad’s face! What a precious gift these little ones are!

Griffin is an active 21 month year old and it’s usually a challenge to keep him in front of the camera for his pictures, but as soon as these drums came out, his face lit up and was was jamming away!

I made a new friend today, a cute little 1 year old. He melted my heart every time he would walk right over to me and sit down in my lap. Such a sweet little boy! Thanks for letting me capture this precious time!

This senior was so brave today to do an outdoor session in the cold snow. We took lots of breaks to warm our hands and feet, but I think it was worth it. The beauty of the white snow really accented her beautiful dark hair. Thanks so much for being such a good sport, Katie!
