Preston is one! {Central Ohio Children’s Photographer}

Well, technically he’s a little over one but this was his one year session because of some really random things that caused us to have to reschedule a couple of times. I almost get a little teary eyed thinking of this little boy over the last year. When he first came to me for a newborn session, he was this incredibly small little thing and now he is the bright, happy, little boy. The miracle of a newborn never gets old for me, but sometimes it’s easy to forget about the miracle of that baby’s first year. This little guy was a great reminder to me of the incredible journey these little newborns make during their first year!

Baby Reese {Mount Vernon Newborn Photographer}

I had a sweet little baby visit me today. A rainy day is a perfect day to turn up the heat and snuggle with a newborn.

What a handsome little guy! I LOVE the finishing one!

My baby boy

This is my youngest, Brady, and I this afternoon. He is 5 and is very much my shadow. He loves to sit on my lap (or just stand beside me if I’m working on the computer) suck his finger and play with my hair. We were cuddling this afternoon and I realized that I don’t have too many more years to enjoy cuddling this little guy. I was also inspired by the fact that I have very few pictures of me with any of the kids. So I pulled out the camera and gave it to my 10 year old and coached her in a short session. It took about 200 pictures to get a few, but it was worth it. I didn’t realize how challenging it would be to coach her on angles and where to focus – when I’m on the shooting end I can just “see it”. I am very glad I did take the time to get these though. I know they are not perfect, but to me they are perfect.

Be glad too that you took the time to teach her (or tried)!
