This was such a fun session. Mom wanted to do this session as a surprise for her husband who is currently deployed with the military. Both little girls came with cowgirl boots on and they were adorable. Here are a few of my favorites from our session.
That’s what this little one was supposed to be this afternoon. 
Little Miss R. is 5 weeks old and mom wanted some sleeping pictures of her. We worked hard to get her to sleep and she slept for about 15 minutes and then was wide awake! We did get a few sleeping ones, though. Miss R. was such a sweet baby. She was talking and cooing to me the whole time I was photographing. Thanks for sharing her with me today and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of your portraits! 
I was so excited to see Baby V today. I last photographed him when he was a newborn and he has grown so much in the past 6 months. He is the cutest little thing with big blue eyes. Here is a sneak peek of some of the images from today.
This little guy is going to be one in a few short weeks. We had a great time doing his one year portraits today. He had an hour drive to get here and took advantage of that time to get a little nap in. He arrived ready to go and was really so good natured. He got a little practice with a cake and I’m pretty sure he liked it!
I had a great time with these kids today! They have come to be friends during this past year and I was really looking forward to their session. The little boy is just all boy and was telling me all about trucks and tractors. He also was a great little poser. He just made me laugh! It was also fun to watch these two together. You can tell that they have a great brother/sister relationship. As soon as I put them beside each other they were giggling and wrestling!

Little D. came for his 6 month portraits today. I had the honor of photographing D. as a newborn and it was so fun to see how much he has grown! He was such a good baby and had all of those adorable baby rolls! He was also amazing me with his strength! I put him on his belly for some pictures and he kept pushing up to a push up position. Then he would just stay there! Watch out mom and dad, he’s going to be on the move before you know it!
I was very glad to be able to take the dance pictures for The Spotlight dance studio this weekend. I love seeing all of the kids dressed up in their recital costumes. Here are a few of the beautiful pictures from our first night of pictures.
My sweet niece came tonight for a session since she is now 3 months old. She is such a sweet little girl and was a trooper as we tried all kinds of different things with her. Here are just a couple of the ones I’ve edited tonight.
I have so enjoyed watching G. grow this past year. Today we celebrated his first birthday with a photo session. He came for his first session at three months and then returned at 6 and 9 months. It is only fitting that we celebrated with a smash the cake session today.
If you haven’t noticed, I have had a several sessions lately with 2 and 3 year old boys. None of them have been too excited about getting their pictures taken. We just play and do the best we can to get some pictures. This little boy was no different. He loved to help me set up the backgrounds, but did not want to have anything to do with being in front of the camera. I might just have another little photographer on my hands the way he was moving backgrounds and taking pictures of his mom and dad. :) I actually fell in love with some of these images, because I think they captured different aspects of his personality.
