I had one of the best sessions tonight! The session was a gift to mom from her three daughters. It was a large family session on the family farm. This family was great! They were wonderful to work with and game for just about anything. They also had this really cool old rusty car that I was very excited about. Evidently the broken down car has been a long standing “discussion” between husband and wife so I thought it would be fun to include it in some pictures.

My sister came to visit this weekend so we took her son and my son out for some pictures.  I had promised my son that we would do his 6 year old pictures with his new skateboard.  My sister was looking for some pictures for her son’s birthday invitation, so she brought his guitar for some pictures.  We had a blast finding different locations around town.

Little J. came in for his two year old pictures today.  He was not real sure of me at first, so he held on to his Wubbzy.  He finally put down his Wubbzy and I think we got some great pictures of him and his family.

We have great neighbors!  :)  They are very good friends and our kids are just a couple of months apart.  (They missed the first and third child, though.)    It was so much fun to do a session for them today.  I love these two kids but I must say that they change expressions faster than any other children I have worked with in a long time.  They are both just so expressive!  I hope that we captured some of the sweet expressions that epitomize this time of their childhood.  I had a really hard time narrowing down, so I’m giving them a large sneak peek!

To say that we have a busy life is somewhat of an understatement.  I had found that in the business of life I had not been taking as many pictures of my kids growing up.  The daily life types of things that make up our family.    This week I tried to be more purposeful about capturing life.  I captured this when I woke Brady up from his nap.  I just love the sleepy way he wakes up and then is ready for the rest of the day.

I love working with this family, not just because they are friends, but because they are always up for something fun when it comes to our photo sessions.  Today it was a session in the snow.  It was a chilly 19 degrees at the time of our shoot, so we all left with cold hands, but I think it was worth it for the photographs!
