Here is a quick sneak peek at a family session that I had today.  Two sisters and their families.   img_1112-edit.jpg img_1120-edit.jpg img_1124-edit.jpg

A day off means time for more sessions!

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

I was so excited to realize that I had today off.  This is the first time that I can remember that I had the Wednesday before Thanksgiving off.  I thought it would be a perfect day to schedule those last minute Christmas sessions.  I had three sessions scheduled, but one baby go sick, so I only did two.  After the sessions in the morning, I enjoyed the afternoon with my kids and made apple pie for dinner tomorrow!  Yum! img_0703-edit.jpg img_0744-edit.jpgimg_0797-edit.jpg img_0832-edit.jpg

Newborn

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Those of you who know me, know that I am sucker for newborns.  At my sister-in-law’s shower over the weekend I told my cousin that for 1/2 a second seeing all of those newborn outfits made me want another baby.  Then I came home and listened to my four fight like cats and dogs. . . .  :)   The next best thing is photographing newborns.  Tonight I had the privledge of photographing baby V.  He was a dream!  He was sleeping when he arrived and we went right to work.  He was so tiny and just so precious.   img_0491-edit-2.jpgimg_0511-edit-2.jpgimg_0533-edit.jpgimg_0547-edit.jpg

Kittens

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Our cat had kittens several weeks ago and we were feeling a little brave so we took them downstairs for a little session.  I am renting a 135mmL lens this week and I wanted to try it out.  The kittens were good subjects, as long as they stayed in one place.  :)  About 5 minutes into our session Ken asked, “How do they get those nice posed pictures that you see on calendars.  Pet photographers we are not!  (And if anyone wants a kitten for a Christmas present, we know where you can find 5 of them!  :)  )img_0592-edit.jpgimg_0602-edit.jpgimg_0611-edit.jpg img_0632-edit.jpg

Portrait Party

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

This weekend I was up at my parents house and my sister hosted a portrait party.  For those of you who are not familiar with portrait parties, it is where the hostess schedules appointments during the day and I bring my studio to you.  The hostess is responsible for scheduling appointments and relaying information and then receives gifts in return for the number of sessions scheduled.  Each appointment is a 20 minute mini-session with 12-15 proofs from the session.  This portrait party went very well.  Here are some sneak peek images from the party.  You will see many familiar faces in this post as many of them are repeat customers!   (Oh and yes that is my sister with the pink hair!  :)  ) img_9612-edit.jpgimg_9662-edit.jpgimg_9759-edit.jpgimg_9772-edit.jpgimg_9798-edit.jpgimg_9916-edit.jpgimg_9958-edit.jpgimg_9968-edit.jpgimg_0021-edit.jpgimg_0052-edit.jpgimg_0264-edit.jpgimg_0282-edit.jpgimg_0374-edit.jpgimg_0442-edit.jpg

Radio Flyer

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

This little boy came today with his trusted Radio Flyer wagon.  He loved to sit it, stand in it, push it - just about anything.  He was very unsure of me and took awhile to warm up, but hopefully the cookies and bubbles changed his mind.  :)  Have a happy birthday, D!   img_9188-edit.jpgimg_9147-edit.jpgimg_9151-edit-edit.jpgI love this one - he’s looking at his reflection like - “Who is that little boy in there?” img_9313-edit.jpg

Last Minute Seniors

Monday, November 17th, 2008

The yearbook deadline for seniors is very quickly approaching.  I had my last seniors of the season Saturday.  I didn’t have time to do outdoor sessions, but we were able to get some good shots in studio.  I apologize for not getting these up earlier this afternoon for you.  img_8936-edit.jpgimg_8948-edit.jpgimg_8989-edit.jpgimg_9011-edit-edit.jpgimg_9067-edit.jpgimg_9081-edit.jpgimg_9110-edit.jpgimg_9117-edit.jpg

One of my favorite models

Monday, November 10th, 2008

This is my nephew and is one of my favorite models.  He is so much fun.  I will say that he was much more challenging since he is running all over the place now.  I just wish he lived closer! img_8470-edit.jpgimg_8515-edit.jpgimg_8547-edit.jpgimg_8579-edit.jpgimg_8674-edit.jpgimg_8704-edit.jpgimg_8730-edit.jpg

Senior Guy

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Tonight was the night for seniors.  While we were out shooting the outdoor pictures, we saw at least 5 other photographers with seniors at the same location.  I guess everyone is trying to beat that yearbook deadline!  :)   img_8360-edit-2.jpgimg_8410-edit.jpgimg_8444-edit.jpg

Fall Wedding

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

Ken and I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding yesterday.  The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a November day.   I know that they are probably off on a wonderful honeymoon right now, but I wanted to post a couple in case they have a chance to take a look.  :)   file0033-edit.jpgfile0088-edit.jpgfile0095-edit.jpgfile0115-edit-2.jpg
