It only takes a second. . .

Friday, June 26th, 2009

to capture a memory. That was my theme for this shoot this evening. I had such a nice family come to the studio. Mom said that she had been putting off pictures because she knew that it was going to be difficult. She has a very active two year old and five year old. The two year old (like many two year old boys) wanted to do his own thing so I knew that I needed to be on my toes and ready because my windows of opportunity would be very short. This first picture is somewhat of a miracle. Little brother was jumping off a stool and then climbing back up over and over. I asked big brother to give him a hug and for one split second they both looked my way! BINGO! I know that having professional pictures taken can seem like a chore, but I really desire to make the experience a pleasant one - both for the kids and the parents. It may sound cliche, but they don’t stay small for very long and it’s so important to capture their growth along the way. I hope that this family enjoyed the session as much as I did! :)

I had the opportunity to photograph another wedding this weekend. It was in beautiful Amish country and the storms cleared away for a gorgeous wedding day! Here is a sneak peak for the bride and groom!

A few more from last week’s wedding {Mount Vernon Photographer}

Friday, June 19th, 2009

I have been editing feverishly this week on the Hoar/ Whitney wedding. I wanted to have most of it done before my wedding tomorrow. I am getting close, but since I don’t have the gallery up yet and I will need to take a break from editing for a few days I thought I would show a few more from this wedding. Here are a few of my favorite images that I have edited so far.

Baby V at 6 months {Mount Vernon Photographer}

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

I was so excited to see Baby V today. I last photographed him when he was a newborn and he has grown so much in the past 6 months. He is the cutest little thing with big blue eyes. Here is a sneak peek of some of the images from today.

Engagement Session - {Mount Vernon Photographer}

This couple was so much fun tonight. It is wonderful to watch a couple interact and see how in love they are. I’ll have the honor of photographing their wedding next summer, and I can’t wait!

Happy Birthday Blake!

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

This little guy is going to be one in a few short weeks. We had a great time doing his one year portraits today. He had an hour drive to get here and took advantage of that time to get a little nap in. He arrived ready to go and was really so good natured. He got a little practice with a cake and I’m pretty sure he liked it! :)

Posing {Mount Vernon Ohio Photographer}

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

I had a great time with these kids today! They have come to be friends during this past year and I was really looking forward to their session. The little boy is just all boy and was telling me all about trucks and tractors. He also was a great little poser. He just made me laugh! It was also fun to watch these two together. You can tell that they have a great brother/sister relationship. As soon as I put them beside each other they were giggling and wrestling!

Enjoy your sneak peak and thanks for making my job so much fun!
