I don’t usually have many seniors at this time of the year, so I was kind of excited when Katie contacted me about senior pictures. It was nice to get outside again. We went downtown this morning and I really had to scope out the light. I usually shoot downtown in the evenings so I was on the look out for some different spots. Katie is just a beautiful girl and I had a great time with her this morning. Good luck on your last nine weeks of high school, Katie!

These two were too cute today! Older cousin, B helped me make try to make his little cousin smile. She loved my cow puppet and they both loved the lollipop at the end.

This session was completely for me! A couple of weeks ago I posted a blog post about inspiration. I was feeling blah and wanted to feel inspired. This mom read my post and gave me a call. My idea was to do a lifestyle baby session. I love the creative challenge of difficult lighting situations. Mom was afraid that I was going to say no way when she told me that had a very small house with not a lot of light. Instead, I got excited! I had so much fun with this family today. I left feeling very inspired and excited to see the images that I had captured. Thank you for sharing your little one with me today!

OH MY GOODNESS! This little one made my day. He was so good and when he smiles, his whole face lights up. I had the pleasure of giving him his first birthday cake and I think he liked it. Although, as you can tell from the pictures below, he wasn’t always happy with me. He had crawled all the way to me and then I had mom move him back so he would do it again. He was not impressed! Luckily he got over it quickly when we brought the cake out for him.

I can’t believe how big Jude has gotten. This little guy was one of my very first test subjects when I was starting in photography. I can’t say that he is a fan of the camera, though. He told me at the end that I had taken enough pictures.

I can’t believe these two kids are getting so big. I taught both of them in kindergarten church and that seemed like yesterday. Now they are both growing up so fast and are both so talented. I really enjoyed working with them both!

I can’t tell you just how sweet this little girl was tonight! She will soon be three and was just a joy to work with tonight. She has the cutest little laugh and melted my heart when she asked if I could hold her hand while her mommy put in her pigtails. I’m not sure how her mommy and daddy tell her “no” while looking into those big beautiful eyes. And let me tell you, she was just brimming with personality. I can not count the number of different faces that I captured tonight. I think that’s what I love best about this age. Every thought and feeling registers across their faces. What an honor to capture this precious time in her life!

Meet my new neice! She is so precious and I got to meet her for the first time today. She is a beautiful baby with great chubby cheeks. She was an excellent model and slept like a rock. I haven’t had many babies under 10 days old and I really noticed a difference in how soundly she slept! Welcome to the family, Alli Grace!

She’s too little right now, but I just have a feeling that this little girl is going to love Fancy Nancy someday. She loves lip gloss, painted toe nails, and sun glasses! And I must say she is a beautiful little almost-two year old.
