Baby Girl
Thursday, July 29th, 2010This little girl had the best dress this morning! Mom said that it was actually hers and her sister’s from when they were little. I loved it and I’m sure that I didn’t have dresses that cute when I was little.

I will have the honor of photographing this gorgeous couple’s wedding this coming December. I really enjoyed working with them tonight. Kasey was a great sport! He had no idea what he was getting himself into! Thanks guys!

Miss Jenna made me smile all morning! She was such a happy baby, talking to me and smiling. She did have opinions on certains things, like I was not allowed to hold the toys without giving them to her.
Miss Jenna gets a extra big sneak peek tonight because her daddy is overseas serving our country and we want him to see his beautiful girl!

What a sweet, pretty baby came to visit me today! Every time I work with a newborn, I’m just amazed all over at how miraculous they are. I enjoy just sitting and watching them as they fall asleep. This little one was nicknamed Blueberry and looked so cute in her blueberry hat!

I have to admit that going into this session I was a bit nervous. Elijah is 6 weeks old, which is old for a newborn session. I wasn’t sure if we would get anything or not. Generally newborn sessions are best when done in the first two weeks of baby’s life. That’s when they are move sleepy and bendable. Once you get them to sleep they are much more tolerable of you moving them around. After 2 weeks, babies can be harder to get to sleep and keep them asleep. My fears for today’s session were unfounded. Little Elijah was a perfect baby. He slept so well! He even put up with us trying to put him into things like football helmets and boots.

This one is a total out-take that I just had to include because the look on his face just cracks me up! At this point he had had enough of us putting him into things. ![]()

I had so much fun with this little one today. I had the honor of photographing her as a newborn last year and it was so fun to see how much she has grown. She looks so much like she did as a newborn, but her little personality is shining through! Happy Birthday, Miss L!

What a beautiful senior! I had fun with Ronni tonight and I don’t think she had any idea that I would ask her to climb or sit so many strange places. We got a ton of variety in her session and I hope she is pleased.

It was such a pleasure to meet this family tonight! The kids were so fun and super well behaved! I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July celebration this weekend!

What a sweet little boy! I was a little nervous when mom called to set up a session and said that Ethan was three weeks old. Newborn sessions are typically best the first two weeks because the baby is still in that very sleepy stage. After two weeks they start to become more alert and wake more easily. This little one slept like a champ for me. We filled him up with milk and he was out!
