Bragging on my Chelsey

I’m going to take a minute to brag on my kiddos from time to time!  🙂   This post is for my daughter, Chelsey.    This girl has a love of gymnastics.   She begged for years to take lessons!  (years!)    We have 4 kids and live out of town just a bit so we have tried to keep a reign on our kids activities so that we don’t get so busy that we forget to enjoy each other.   However, this girl was so determined and worked so hard without lessons that we finally relented and signed her up at the YMCA.   This was her first year of competing as a level 3 gymnast.   I am so proud of the hard work that she puts in and her desire to improve every day.   This girl has a competitive streak in her that is fierce, but at the same time is learning that winning isn’t everything.    I’m so incredibly proud of her.

Ward Kids ~ Growing up

It is hard to believe that I have been photographing these kids since P. was a chubby baby!   They just keep getting bigger and bigger and in the process are growing up to be some amazing kids.   (They must have pretty awesome parents!)

Walker’s Cake Smash

I love this family!!!   Walker made me laugh and giggle during her whole session.    You might think that I photograph babies for the family’s sake – but there are selfish reasons as well.  🙂   Watching babies laugh and play and giggle is seriously the best therapy there is.   Just look at her cake smash pictures!!   Mom claims that Walker only really gets upset if she sees food that she can’t have.   Once I saw her with those cupcakes, I totally understood.    My favorite part was at the end when she flipped all of the cupcakes off and lifted up the tray.   It looked like she was saying, “More?”

Baby Conrad’s Newborn Photos

I so enjoyed working with this family!   Little Conrad was a dream baby and adorable as can be.   Mom and dad brought a little hedgehog hat and animal to include in his session because it coordinated with his nursery.   It was so fun to use them in several different props so they should have different options to choose from.

Emma 5 month Milestone session

Emma was such a good baby for her 5 month pictures.   She was one of the first babies back on my schedule because I knew I missed her 4 month benchmark and babies change a lot faster at 4-5 months than they do at 1 year.   Just look at her sitting up!      I love photographing families over time because I love seeing the family similarities in siblings.    People used to tell us all of the time that our kids all looked alike.   I just could not see it at the time.   To me, each of them was so different.    But now, as I sit and edit these beautiful babies, it’s so fun to see the different expressions they make that remind me so much of their siblings.   I think Emma is such a good example.    She is opposite in hair and eye color, but at the same time I can see her sister plain as day in some of her expressions.   🙂
